The Last Time I Write for You
I no longer want to write for you, I don’t want to keep giving you the lines that rise from my soul or remembering you in every one of them. I’m grateful for everything you gave me. I won’t lie—I was happy, and I trusted in love once again. I gave myself to you, and I will not regret it. But like a child, I let myself be carried away by sweetness. Without caution, I hurt myself— you hurt me. This is the last time I write with the taste of you. I say goodbye to your memories and surrender myself to my destiny, so I can finally be happy. Time will tell us whether what we had was love or just a simple confusion. It will tell us if we held something valuable and let it slip away. It will tell us if walking away was a wise decision. Time will tell us what today we refuse to hear.
