The Last Kitten
I watch the kittens play together Jumping and climbing in my room It feels almost bittersweet Because they chase one another But I know this time tomorrow only one will remain He will wander the house alone No one to share food or toys with No one to play with He is the last kitten left behind But I don't have the heart to tell them So I just watch them play One last time I will hold this for now I will let them make a mess Together One last time
