The language of eyes
What you hide in your heart, appears in your eyes— Secrets that silence, but never disguise. You speak so little, yet say so much, With glances that tremble and never touch. The pain you swallow, the dreams you deny, They flicker like stars when I look nearby. You wear a smile, stitched so tight, But your eyes betray the quiet fight. They shimmer with memories buried deep, Lullabies lost, promises you keep. I see the storm you try to contain, The love, the longing, the shadowed pain. And still, I stay—not asking why, For I’ve learned to read what words let lie. Your heart may hide, but I realize— It always speaks… through your beautiful eyes.
