the Lamb, His blood
The Lamb, whose blood will clean us all. Son of Man, was there before my fall. Before my fall, before your fall, Before the substance abuse, before the alcohol. Before the lies, the gunfire, shock and awe. Son of Man, save me I cry to you and call! On all my fourths I approach thee in a crawl. Humbly, begging, weeping tears within my squall. Cover me, wash me clean, Oh GOD, under your gracious shawl. Blot out my transgressions, make them nimble and so small. Blood of the Lamb, Son of Man, teacher of Saul and Paul. I kneel before you, looking up at your cross so tall. Passion of the Christ, King of Jews with a thorny crown, Crucified in your sprawl. Our backs stand firmly against your stalwart rising wall! Oh Lord in bondage, of you they maul within your thrall. Come show us Your better ways, the corrected protocol!
