The lady bug to my rose
Once I stood tall and proud, a lonely rose Black as midnight, with thorns no one chose My beauty shunned, my fragrance ignored By other roses, I was always abhorred But then came a ladybug, so pure and bright Spreading joy and love, with every flight She saw beyond my color and thorns Loving me for who I am, she adorned Our love bloomed, in this enchanted garden With her by my side, life had no burden She was the sunlight, that made me grow My reason for happiness, my reason to glow But now, my ladybug must say goodbye And I'm afraid, I'll wither and die For ten long years, I'll stand alone Mental health, fragile as a rose, turning to stone My petals will wilt, my fragrance will fade Hopelessness, despair, will linger and pervade For without my ladybug, I am incomplete Life, once bountiful, now bitter and bittersweet In this enchanted garden, I'll wait and pray For my ladybug's return, one fine day To bring back the color, the joy, the light To make my world, once again, bright.
