the kitten in my cabinet
There's a cat in my cabinet He's really fragile and tiny I try to hold him, and when i do, he doesn't hold me back I get too invested in our hug i don't notice he's started to scratch me My little cat doesn't love me and that's why I keep him in the cabinet I started mentioning there's something in there Something they will never know about They think i'm a hypocrite because i don't like things on the cabinet They don't know inside mine There's a tiny, fragile Kitty A kitty that scratches bites and attacks A cat that, despite so fragile, so tiny and so replaceable in others' eyes Could make my life hell any day A cat i will continue to pet And hug and kiss and caress Knowing one day One of his tiny, fragile claws Will tear through my skin to my insides Will scratch my whole arm And make my murder look like a suicide And he'll go back in the cabinet For someone else to find him Next to my body lying dead in the cold tiles And to grab him and think he's a cute, tiny, fragile Kitty A truly harmless pet And when they learn the reason of my fate They will be too addicted to the caress To let him go away Until they end up like me In the worst state Death.
