The King & The Queen
The King stands still on the chessboard, burdened by his crown. He watches her, The Queen, who moves with a silent rage, her power once a shield, now a weapon drawn. They dance in patterns of lost trust, each move a step further apart. His throne feels cold, with her eyes distant, as their love is now a battlefield where no one wins. She circles him, once a guardian, now enemy, and he, The King, who can only retreat, sees the end approaching in her gaze — a stalemate in a game they both lose.
