The Jack
The Jack by Jack A.S. Dunce I know how to do many things Although I'm average at most And just so-so at best, it stings, My name could surely be Almost. You'll swear you've seen me once before, And yet, when and where elude you; A face you can't place anymore, Each time, as though, we've met anew. A thousand Hi, hello is tough, Yet, still, in the background I sing. I'm doubting if I'll be enough; The jack is never his queen's king. And still I'll lay for you my sword Though just one of the nameless horde. --🌼-- ©️pgmr 05/14/2026
