THE INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION
The Industrial revolution took place in the 18th century, England had the attributes of the best machinery. Water pumped louder, sweeping into mines, Which darkened the labourers' lives. Thomas Newcomen's need for fuel was vast, James Watt's wise work made it last, The Industrial age rose over fast. The machine began to rise, machines arrived. From John Kay's flying shuttle to James Hargreaves' might; The spinning jenny worked throughout day and night. Factories started emerging more and more, Children grew pale even more, The middle class became poor, Their dreams locked behind the factory doors. The air was thick with dust and smoke, Which made them suffer and choke. The road to freedom was long, but it made the nation strong. A whisper grew, where life was new, A place, home where everyone enjoyed laughter and share. _K.PRAVEEENA - IX D
