the holler.
As I was a little girl with golden curlsi loved going down the holler to go get my grandpa's silver dollar.the coon dogs bark chasing lightning bugs at dark.seing my maw maw make gravy with her hair all up wavy. with the flour on her dress .She still not look like mess. wearing her old perfume.cooking smelling up the room.Grampa widdeling wood me trying to be good.My grandpa going to start up the tractor putting me on the seat. getting ready to plant some weat.In the fields all day .Gathering up the hay.Going to gather the eggs in the hen house watching cat Cath a mouse. playing in the cooling creek .looking up at the mountain peaks oh how I miss going there seeing them rock in their rocking chair. The holler was the best memory I had. thinking about it makes me sad.Now they are gone away.remembering all the memories what they say.eiping the tears from my eyes .Now they flying angel in the skies the holler is dear to me close to me in my heart .
