The Heavenly Peace
Peace, the world says, Peace I give you. But what peace is on Earth? Peace that is easily overcame by strife and worry that next minute? Peace that cannot stand, instantly falling at the sound of cries and death and wars. Peace that is an illusion. But do you know the Man who slept through a storm on a wave-crashed boat? What about the man who was thrown into a den of lions yet they did not touch him? Maybe, the Man who was hated, yet calmly walked away from the yelling crowds of anger who wanted to kill and crucify Him? Oh, how he loved them still. That is the true peace. Peace that stands in the midst of chaos, peace where you could never be more glad in the midst of death. Peace that does not fall, nor stumble, but stands fiercely against all evil. Gods peace. How sweet it is that we have it. "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you. I do not give as the world gives to you. Let your heart not be troubled nor afraid."
