The Heart Of Lakota
With the heart of Lakota, on sacred ground I dwell, breathing in the essence, where the spirits swell. With courage like the white wolf, I rise and defend, against a Nation’s scorn, my spirit won’t bend. Wounded but unyielding, my heart holds the pain, yet like the eagle soaring, I’ll break every chain. Strong-minded and fierce, I embrace with flight, with a feather of pride, I’ll shine through the night. For my people I stand, not in silence but sound, in the song of our ancestors, our strength will resound. So here I am, Lakota, with honor I claim, in unity and spirit, we’ll rise up in flame.
