The Harmless Drug
I had a taste of the harmless drugs Provided by the lovely dealer. For two hours the sky was blue again, The grass was green again, Tears became laughters, The rusty strings in my mind turned to gold, Despair vanished to let in hope. A heaven of forgetfulness. Lost I was in its hollow light. I let my hope forsaken land, Get tarnished once again. Warmth turned back to frost. I would have rather used the one that maims the flesh, For the spirit that moves it is of a more inestimable value.
