the hapless fate of the bunny
I'm like a fiend intoxicated by your beauty. floating like a bird high in the sky, creeping, soaring like a gliding raptor, you are the prey I'm after. the more I chase, you quicken your pace. As I dart with a mad dash like a golden eagle. with every attempt to catch you the more I want to feel your embrace. swiftly you run into the night like a deer hunted by sight. with vigor and stamina, you dodge and hide as I circle and climb higher so I can swoop down, and end this race, you sigh with a shiver I've found you my love my heart desire I've traveled many roads and climbed many mountains persevered many storms and transversed all 4 seasons to gain the love I'm after. in bittersweet defeat, you sing a lyric like a trapped bunny you accept your hapless fate
