The gullible knows not to trust But he easily falls prey Yelling out all his desires When a little love is shown him Then upon realizing the facade He's ever quick to redeem himself With a new promise to self One that makes him bitter One that reignites the pain of yesterday And makes him worse on the morrow Like he was never cared for.
