The Guiding Light
In shadows deep, where fears reside, I see my friends on the other side. Their eyes cast down, in darkness bound, I long to lift them from the ground. With outstretched hand, I aim to save, To rescue them from the inky cave. But doubt within me starts to swell, Afraid I'll lead them further into hell. For in my heart, uncertainty churns, I fear my touch, their soul might burn. Though love compels me to intervene, I worry my efforts might turn obscene. Yet still, I'll try, my best I'll give, To help my friends find light and live. Though shadows haunt, and doubts persist, I'll be the one they can't resist. With hope and care, we'll face the night, Together, we'll emerge to see the light. Though I'm afraid, I'll take the chance, To save my friends with this loving dance.
