The grey Area

Morally grey characters fascinate me I wonder, if during their downward spiral into destruction they might have paused to think twice to reconsider their actions whether if in the madness of their consciousness they ever felt a moment of hesitation, of regret if they were too far gone to recognize the emotion and separate it from the unadulterated rage they undoubtedly embraced I sit and wonder sometimes what goes through their minds when they eventually meet their end if they are forever haunted by thoughts of the particular moment they were tempted to retrace their steps To heal To be better than what the world has perceived them to be.
