The Great War
Do you really know me? The true me? The me behind the laughter and smiles, behind the jokes and sarcasm The me behind the tears and sadness, the darkness that lies wait for me when I'm alone, that comes crawling up ready to strangle and take hold of me, Fight my dear child, fight for life, fight to live that's what I hear screaming to me, a voice inside of me, but its drowned out by so much pain, then when I think all is lost, I see a glimmer of light, but bright enough to cower the demons away. I can stand again, I can raise my sword, fight the fight again, live another day Find my true happiness in Him, and not in this world, He surrounds me with a battalion of angels, He sees something that I cannot, He sees in me a great warrior, and whispers in my ear when the darkness comes, to fight my princess. It's a great battle field of light versus darkness, of life versus death. My life!
