The Great Pretender
Pretending to be happy and faking a smile. Becomes easier after awhile. I look happy but my sorrows are so deep I could drown. I laugh until I cry tears of a clown. Thinking if I just keep dancing nobody could tell. That my heart is broken and I'm going through hell. I have to pretend to be strong. While you get to move on. And love someone else. Fake smiles while my eyes swells. Pretending to be happy gets easier after awhile. When I see you I fake a smile. Tell you I'm doing okay. All the while I'm wishing you could stay. And break my heart again if that's what it takes. My love for you is only thing that's real everything else is fake.
