the great Antarctica
A realm of white, where silence reigns supreme, And jagged peaks pierce through a dream, Of sun-drenched lands and verdant green, Here, ice enthralls, a crystal sheen. The wind, a sculptor, carves the snow, In drifts and dunes, where blizzards blow, A desolate beauty, stark and low, Where few dare tread, or even go. The emperor stands, a sentinel grand, Upon the floes, across the land, A silent witness, wing in hand, To ancient secrets, grains of sand. Beneath the waves, a world unseen, Of krill and fish, a vibrant scene, Where whales in depths serenely convene, And icy waters hold their queen. A harsh embrace, a cruel delight, Of endless day and starless night, Antarctica, a frozen light, A testament to nature's might.
