The grace of healing light
In shadows deep, where shame does cruelly dwell, I hide my face, consumed by guilt's cruel fire. A prisoner to my secrets, I do tell No soul my dark desires, my hidden ire. Oh, how my heart doth ache with bitter sorrow, For I have strayed from virtue's noble way. I weep, repenting in the dark of morrow, In shame, I beg forgiveness day by day. But still, the weight of sin doth ever linger, A heavy burden on my weary soul. I long for peace, for guilt to cease to hinder, To find redemption and to once be whole. Oh, let me rise above this shameful plight, And find within the grace of healing light.
