The Girl with no Dreams
I remember the time I used to laugh Not a fake one, really laugh, And actually mean it Remember the time when I used to peak, Resolutions after resolutions And actually pin it I would chase a will, Swim oceans, climb hills To rescue that broken mill And put it back to seal Now the seal doesn't work, The flow so heavy it doesn't hurt Oceans too deep, hills too jerk I just wish I was never alert A scar so deep it's unidentifiable A love so useless it's unreliable Cause nothing works anymore, That smile is now forced They put on my back more and more Now I just take it, even if it's parched Cause really, no one cares No one cares if a car is broken as long as it's still working No one sees the dents and scratches those cheap fixes are hiding No one cares if it's broken inside, if the outside is thriving No one loves the real person they see cause they wanna see them drowning No one cares Until they actually drown And the bubbles rise up, Into the water cup No one sees it, Until it spreads into the syrup And even after, they break all the beams Cause after all, it was just a girl with no dreams From my book "Blood runs Thicker than Water"
