... and she carries her burdens alone because she knows they're too heavy for everyone else she is the girl who got denied her father's Love so she lets in any man who will "love" her she is the girl who smiles on her worst days because she doesn't want those judgmental looks from people who don't know nor share her pain she is the girl that became antisocial to protect herself she's the girl that built up walls, sorry, I meant fortress around herself as a means to protect herself because she had to witness her mother getting hurt by men and even the ones she called "family" she is the girl that picked up a pen and paper to pour out her unexpressed feelings, unsaid words and unshed tears as her own way of surviving she is the girl that learned how to cope and live with it she is the little girl who needed saving
