I've heard pain is a gift Because it can warn us Of trouble and protect us. I've heard loneliness Is also a gift Because it makes us appreciate The ones we miss And reminds us of impending joy. If this is true Then it must be Christmas Or my birthday Because I'm drowning In pain and loneliness!
