The Ghosts of Former Souls.
The orange glow from the fire upon her face, On this earth her existence never feels out of place, and as she looks into my eyes, I feel at home in her soul. Her Soul is no longer hers and mine is no longer mine, they are 1 creature; eternally entwined. Her lips on mine have never been so divine as they are tonight. Looking up at the stars, and imagining what it would look like if they all cried out and fell from the heavens. The embers from the earth float and land at my feet, I stamp on them; extinguishing their life before they can proceed to mock me. There is no peace, and the ghosts of our souls will forever haunt me. The ghost of her love dances on my lips, it lingers like the salty breeze on the dark shores. Looking up at the stars, and wondering if she is one of them. And as it begins to rain, I wonder if she is grieving with me.
