The ghost I once believed
Does it exist? Or did we invent it to survive the dark Maybe it’s a myth. Maybe it’s a lie. Maybe it’s a dream I paid for with my skin. Once you were everything. Now you’re nothing. A ghost with my fingerprints. When I think of you I can’t control the sudden numb that crawls up my throat and sits in my chest like a stone. To me you’re nothing. It's just meaningless. It's just unfaithful. It's just untrustworthy. I’ve seen the real you. I've been inside it. Lived in the rooms you lied in. I wish I never trusted. Because trust isn’t real. It leaves you shattered. With the broken promises echoing off the walls of the person I used to be. If it were possible God, I hope it were possible you’d be long gone. Erased. Non-existent. Like you did to me.
