The Funny Dancing Dunce
I was working at home; doing my best To catch up on some business; I couldn't rest. Suddenly, I thought of an old man at work. He's just an old fool; some call him a jerk. But management said he's great for morale. I know they want him to dance for them now. They gave him a name: the Funny Dancing Dunce. And he's never been funny, not even once. It's just that he cavorts like some kind of fool, When he's prancing and dancing; a witless tool. His dance is so jerky; some poor marionette. He will stumble and fall during his pirouette. I think he just loves to put on a scene: To totter and teeter, tilt and careen. He hasn't a friend to advise him on this; Clearly he needs one; something's amiss. I really can't tell him; I don't know him at all. So, I will say nothing, that's my protocol. Then, just as I'm ready to get back to work, I see in my hallway that foolish old jerk. Right there in the mirror, finally I see, That silly old man: That old fool is me!
