The Flower I Saw That Day
Once, I wandered in a tranquil night In a meadow, in sweet serenity, I saw a flower shining under the moonlight While admiring nature's tapestry That flower, was but a budding flower Innocent and oblivious of her beauty, Modest, yet beaming in the late hour And pleasant as she stood proudly Every now and then I took a look, As she broke out of her cocoon Opening its pages like a book, Still unfinished, but it will soon Everyday she bath in sun's ray, And at night absorbs the light of moon, She continues to grow each day, Along with drizzle of rain at noon Days, weeks, and months passed, Thoughts of that flower slipped away. Yet, those thoughts came back fast, And in my mind she found her way I went back to that same meadow To see what state the flower's in, Passing by trees as the wind blows, Till arriving the spot where I have been I saw the flower I saw that day, Still shining beneath the full moon, Luminescent at the end of the day, Now a beautiful flower in full bloom That once a delicate sapling, Is now radiant and captivating
