I am a flower Growing beautifully Never overpowed Supposedly He was a man Lived right next to me Picking all of the flowers Seizing all of their power I was a boy I was then dead No longer a flower For the man had picked it Now I fear living What did this world start giving The flower is dead And the boy broken I was a boy Hating all life Only three Everything hurts me Now there is only the boy Just waiting for the scars The one who lived next to me Was now behind bars I was a boy Never given a sorry And before the flower grew back It was pocked again. And again. And again. By different men, different weeds Until the boy was twelve The flower, you no longer see And now the boy is older And he'll never conceive
