The Flesh
When I want to do good I end up doing bad. I desire the things of the flesh but end up going mad. Honestly I want to live right, but I end up living wrong. I try to hide my weakness then pretend like I am strong. I fight my flesh night and day. Although I try to keep a smile on my face, I am NOT okay. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. I have intrusive thoughts and they come out my mouth when I speak. A shy woman, that's me. Sometimes I'm afraid to stand up for what is right. But why should I be afraid? Why should I dim my light? I'm living in the flesh and I need to fight. I can't keep being afraid I must shine bright.
