The Fire Between Us
The Fire Between Us If we ever touch, I think the stars would hide — too shy to witness what the dark already knows. Your hand would find mine, and the air would tremble, soft and heavy, like a secret dying to be kept. I’d guide your fingers to my heart, so you could feel how it burns beneath your name — how every beat is a prayer I never meant to say aloud. My hands are small, but in yours they bloom, fragile lil things learning what forever might feel like. My eyes would lose their way in you, trapped between fear and wanting, seeing every piece of you I was never meant to have. You’d pull me close, and I’d fall — not down, but deeper, into that space where love turns holy and ruin us all at once. Every breath would ache, every thought would twist, and I would let it — because some fires were never meant to be tamed. So if we ever touch, let it undo me. Let me burn quiet in your hands, and call it love.
