"The Final Dance"
Beneath the moon's soft silver glow, We danced, her hand in mine. A night where dreams and hearts could grow, A moment so divine. Her eyes, they sparkled with delight, Her laughter, pure and sweet. In her embrace, the world felt right, Two souls in rhythm meet. "Do you believe in fate?" she asked, Her voice, a gentle breeze. I smiled, though behind my mask, Her words brought me unease. "We are but threads in time's grand weave, Yet moments such as these, Are gifts we must, in truth, believe," I said, my heart at ease. We twirled beneath the stars so bright, A waltz of love and grace. But hidden in the cloak of night, A truth I could not face. For I am Death, in shadows veiled, A secret dark and deep. With every step, her fate was sealed, A promise I must keep. "Your touch is cold," she softly spoke, Her brow began to crease. I held her close, my heart near broke, For soon, she’d find release. As music slowed, our dance did end, Her breath began to fade. In my arms, I felt her bend, A life that I betrayed. "Why do I feel so weak?" she sighed, Her eyes began to close.
