the family disappointment
Expectations and endless pain I'd run through storms for you ignoring the rain when I arrive I'm not greeted in thanks I'm greeted with heavy sighs of my disappointed peers and words that make me want to disappear " you're not good enough" "you're still not tough" that's not what I want to hear "I'm not impressed" and "god your such a fucking mess" "you're not pretty" "you're not smart" "you hardly even have a heart" "you're not strong" everything I do is wrong "you're so pathetic" I'm done with this so just forget it I'm done breaking my bones for people who just want to break my heart I'm not standing here with a smile while you tear me apart because... for the first time someone has come into my life and built me up when you didn't give a fuck, for the first time someone calls me beautiful and says that I'm important. I no longer care what you think of me Cause now I have everything I need I'm still a limb on your family tree whether or not you want me to be after everything that I did for it, I'm happy to be the family disappointment.
