The Fall, and The Void
When things happen unexpectedly, it can feel like we are in a freefall. You feel that jolt of fear as the floor drops out from under you. You become weightless and lose all control. As you fall, the spine-tickling fear and the gut-wrenching dread fill your soul without hesitation. Before you can truly even process anything, it's already done. You know that nothing will be the same after this event How, in a time like that, can we cope with the primal need for control? The need to understand the situation — to dissect it and bend it to our will. Have you ever embraced the void? Have you ever found peace in that you have no control? In a moment where your life is not in your hands, and you have no direction, you can count on the fact that you will land. The void will eventually end. There will be solid ground someday. The question then becomes, are you prepared to land? You may not know where you will land but you can be sure that you will. What will you do when you find solid ground? The void can be a place of growth and strength, or a place to lose strength. Peace is possible in the void of the unknown if you use your time wisely.
