The Fall
So far have we fallen, Noise has become music to our ears, Distracted hearts which lacks burden, As though it's not full of doubt and fear At least until the rain starts, Until heaven cries out upon us, Just then everything halts, A calm without a source The world stays quiet, The sound of wind and raindrops becomes the norm, Sometimes it's a deafening silence, Sometimes a necessary storm A pause that can save lives, Drops of water fall undisturbed, Against the real noise, Bringing peace that is undeserved.
