The enigma Of Self
In the labyrinthine corridors of my mind, A perpetual question echoes, leaving me blind: Who am I, really? Am I the persona I portray, Or the introspective soul, that navigates life's disarray? A longing to be me, to unfurl my authentic self, Persists, yet the dichotomy between reality and idealized wealth, Leaves me perplexed, torn between the me I am, And the me I aspire to be, a paradox that's hard to withstand. The me in me, a cacophony of conflicting desires, Demands perfection, yet is never satiated, like a burning fire, It worries, it frets, it analyzes, and it critiques, Leaving me exhausted, lost in a maze of self-doubt and conflicting critiques. Who am I, then? Am I the sum of my experiences, Or the culmination of my dreams, my passions, my interests? Am I the me I think I should be, or the me I've yet to discover, A puzzle I'm still trying to solve, a riddle that's hard to uncover? As I navigate the twists and turns of life's journey, I'm still trying to figure out what makes me tick, what I'm capable of, What lies within my realm of possibility, what I can do better, A quest for self-discovery, a lifelong endeavor. Perhaps the answer lies not in the destination, but in the quest.
