THE END SARS SAGA
Since my power lies at the tip of my pen I will use it as my weapon , A movement rose to end police cruelty. EndSARS, we chanted with a plea, Justice for the slain, a call to see. With slogans and banners raised high, We the youth marched, protesting with a sigh. Our voices echoed, demanding a reply, From leaders who'd turned a deaf ear and blind eye. On the 20th day of October, The Lekki toll gate massacre, a horror. Soldiers opened fire, a deadly doctor Taking innocent lives, with no bother. I could sense sinister laughter's from their end , Watching thousands of lives being wasted is their new trend ahhh! no !! shushhhhhhhh....... I can hear it clearly , their cries , their pain, the betrayal and their fear. And so these questions keeps burning. Just who gave the order to shoot?? who turned off the lights? Who threw in gun powders? The protest was harmless So why were they scared of the protesters?? Or do we not have rights to protest again Is there no longer freedom of speech? What country kills her citizens for her own selfish interest ,na wa oo Our flag is no longer green and white , it now has a touch of red , representing the blood of the innocents
