The Edge Of The Universe
From my innermost sanctum I watch Worlds being created & destroyed It happens quite a lot From my spot in the void But I have spied a world so blue Where mostly hairless creatures live true They're not perfect creations They do have their flaws Like price inflation And funding wars Poverty runs amuck As the rich afford lunch I have seen good and happy things And I have seen terrible acts of goodwill A witness to horrible slayings Whose escape is futile I am not the judge, but rather the scribe Documenting truth amidst the lies As I sit alone here Watching society crumble On that blue sphere I take note that some have been humble And the cruel ones will be punished Of all creation I still remain astonished
