The Echos Remain
The emerald fire flickers, casting a glow, On a face reborn, yet etched with woe. Her eyes, once bright, now hold a distant gleam, A whisper of the past, a fading dream. "I am not," she murmurs, voice soft and low, "The woman you knew, a day you may know, The shards that pierced, the years that swept away, Have left me changed, a soul in disarray." He takes her hand, his gaze steady and true, "The years may fade, and memories subdue, But love remains, a constant, burning bright, A torch in the darkness, guiding the night." "Though shadows linger, and wounds may remain, I choose to love you, again and again. For in your essence, a spark still resides, A flicker of hope, that time cannot hide."
