The Easter Story
I know of a man, So full of grace, Born in a manger, Yet called him disgrace... Son of a carpenter, Grew up in wisdom, Stature and favour enter, With God and man. At the age of 12, Began ministry, Everywhere he went, He was doing good Fed the 5000, Walked upon the sea, Called forth the dead Lazarus, For the prophecy. Man not contented, he was rejected, Tempted and tried, criticised and embarrassed. He faced the cross, with love so pure, And died for all, to save me and you. On the third day, He rose with might, Conquering death, and giving us light. This man of grace, the Christ we adore, We would extol forevermore. For in his resurrection, we find our hope, And a love that's stronger than death itself. Thank you Jesus for the Cross, For in it we found the Crux.
