The Dragon longs for its Tame
I look up to the sky. And I remember your promise. You said we were like the stars and the moon - inseparable. If only I knew it meant we would seem close, Yet still be miles apart. I still remember when you said The rainbow was God’s covenant, That the stars would represent yours, And the moon would represent mine. You said, “I am coming. Wait.” I did. So why aren’t you back? Why? Why does my heart keep longing? Why this gentle torture? You know, if loving you were a crime, I would gladly be behind bars. Come back. ne’ar, ne’ar my heart sings your name. My love, where are you? Like a broken sword, I am useless without you; Like a bow without an arrow, I have lost my worth in my owner’s eyes. As the thunder roars and lightning splits the sky, As the wind howls and heavy rain pours, All shall witness, yet never know That a dragon longs for its tamer.
