The Double-Cross
The double-cross, it cuts like a knife, Leaves you questioning your own life. A trust betrayed, a friendship lost, The pain it brings, at what cost? You thought you knew, you thought it true, But now you see, you've been duped by a fool. A twist of fate, a turn of events, Leaves you feeling used, a pawn in their game. But don't despair, don't let them win, Stand up tall, let your strength begin. Learn from this lesson, move on with grace, Don't let the double-cross show your face. Forgiveness may come, in time it may heal, But never forget, the wound is still real. Be cautious of those who would deceive, But don't let it stop you, continue to believe. In the power of love, and the strength of your heart, You'll find a way through, and a brand new start. So don't let the double-cross bring you down, Stand tall, and wear your crown. -toshijamirr ©
