THE DISTANT ME...
The road grows stranger with every step, My feet feel heavier, stained with the dust of choices. This silence cuts sharper than any blade, And the world around me seems to walk in reverse. I can’t recognize the person living inside my skin— I’m fading, piece by piece, from everyone I once called mine. Yet… they keep walking towards me. Faces familiar, steps hesitant— As if they see something, in me that I’ve long forgotten.
