The Devil's Hour
At midnight's call, the Devil's Hour, An eldritch power, to make me cower. On moonlit path, I'll make a pact, With temptations stacked, and dreams intact. Whispers seductive, dance in the air, Beguiling affair, my soul left bare. Fame and fortune, beckon my name, Immortal fame, enshrouded in flame. Ambition blinds, reason starts to peel, Dark shadows reveal, secrets they conceal. A moment's lapse, in obsidian night, Eyes filled with fright, a decision to ignite. With trembling hand, I seal my fate, Bargaining create, a life of weighted weight. But as the deal takes its dreadful toll, A darker soul, begins to take control. Ephemeral joy, turns to bitter despair, Illusion so rare, vices beyond repair. For fame and fortune, my soul I sold, Yet all that unfolds, leaves me feeling cold. In the Devil's Hour, a choice was made, A price I paid, my spirit now swayed.
