The Devil
The world is piling on my shoulders, The weight is crushing me to the ground. The devil whispers in my ear, "Just give up, just get high." "You're homeless, you have nowhere to go," "You're going to prison, you're alone." "You're unwanted around here," "Just get high, it will all be gone." But I know that's not the answer, I know that I can overcome this. I've come too far to give up now, I'm not going to relapse, I'm not going to get high. I'm going to keep fighting, I'm going to keep believing, I'm going to keep pushing forward, I'm going to win. I'm not going to let the devil win, I'm not going to let the world crush me. I'm going to rise above it all, I'm going to succeed. I'm going to show the world that I'm not broken, I'm going to show the devil that he doesn't control me. I'm going to show myself that I am strong, I'm going to show myself that I can do anything. I'm not going to relapse, I'm not going to get high. I'm going to keep fighting, I'm going to keep winning.
