The Devil
Their backs are turned against the devil they say A man whose actions deserve the consequences he pay In the cold they left him Because he remained an offense to them A man willing to try and willing to work They valued him to be worth no more than dirt Knowing in his position he needed a friend But apparently to every friend comes an end Now no kindness in their voice His difficulty they now rejoice Because their backs are turned against the devil they say Whose consequences he alone must pay
