The Death of a heart
My mind is plagued with thoughts of you, as my heart skips a beat when I imagine your face. A face that illuminates my days when I'm lost in the darkness. I can hear your voice when I'm alone, hear it whisper, "I love you,"and the world seems to disappear. But then thoughts of you and him flood my mind, and I'm left drowning in thoughts of your future absence from my life. An absence that will darken my days with solitude as my heart falls to its death. A slow, painful death that tortures my very soul. Ripping it apart and tearing through my body, as I try to sustain a small piece of life. A life without you, for you belong to him and were never mine. But thoughts of you will always be with me, and my life will never be the same.
