The days we had
When we first spoke, you were a dream, A love so pure, or so it seemed. Your care, your words, your gentle ways, Turned my life into brighter days. The way you pampered, held me close, Brought joy and calm like a blooming rose. I felt adored, my heart would sing, You gave my life its sweetest spring. But now the days feel cold and bare, The warmth we shared hangs in the air. I reach for you, but you pull away, And I’m left yearning for yesterday. Each moment whispers, "You're not the same," Your love feels distant, it fuels my pain. I wonder if you see my tears, Or hear the echo of my fears. No one could grasp the depth it stings, To lose the joy your presence brings. I wish I could turn back the time, And feel again that love of mine. Please hear my heart, it beats for you, And longs for the days when love was true. I still believe, with hope, with grace, We can reclaim our sacred space.
