The Day You Forgot (June 1st)
Do you know how it feels to hold onto a date, To circle it in red, to wait and wait, Only to realize I was waiting alone— That your heart was never truly my home? You forgot the day my heart came alive, When I hoped and prayed we'd always survive. But love shouldn't be one person trying to be two. I remembered for both of us—but where were you? You forgot. You forgot… and that’s what broke me. Not the silence, not the lack of gifts or plans. But that I loved someone Who never even tried to understand. So today, I’ll cry for the love I gave, For the girl who stayed strong, the heart that behaved. And I’ll mourn a love that was only ever mine— A love that bloomed alone… And died, unheard, in time.
