The Day I Met You
The day I met you, everything just felt right, Like my world had finally found its light. With you, every moment feels fresh and true, And I still can’t find the right words to explain how much I love you. On the 20th of each month, I stop and think, About how lucky I am, more than I can put into ink. A year and two months, and still it feels new, The happiest I’ve ever been… all because of you. That Wednesday night, around eight, we talked, Just a simple call, but something in me unlocked. I didn’t understand what love could really be, Until your voice found its way to me. Through every storm, every hard day I’ve faced, You’ve been my calm, my safe place. You make me laugh, you make me whole, You’re not just part of me—you’re my soul. I still smile thinking about that night, When you asked that question, half joke, half light: “If I were a duck, would you still love me too?” And I meant it when I said I’d always choose you. No matter your form, no matter the view, My heart would still find its way back to you. And even when the lasers made you scared, I teased you a bit—but you still cared. Somehow, even then, you made me laugh, Turning small moments into memories that last. From random talks
